After joining the company, I had received the training for new employees at the Iijima Plant in Nagano prefecture. Then I was assigned to the Tokyo branch office.
At first, I mainly visited the mass retailer headquarters and wholesalers with my boss.
Currently, I am in sales where I get to offer recommendations of products and make suggestions for displays at retail stores.
I am doing my best to live up to the personal motto, to cherish the building of relationships with many people, that I get to meet on a daily basis and to be thankful.

The most important thing about sales is the connection between people.
We who are in sales are representing the company, as we meet many people, introduce the "Hikari Miso" brand, and start building trustworthy relationships with them.
It is safe to say, that food manufacturers have an important role through products, to contribute towards the good health of customers.
The most satisfying moments of sales in food products come, when I can’t help but feel the great joy inside, as I see our customers buying the products I have recommended in retail stores nearby.

Before joining the company, I did not have the knowledge of this industry, and as one consumer thought all the companies who make miso are just about the same. However, after joining the company, I have found out that Hikari Miso is comparatively new manufacturer in the industry, and without being caught on the general concepts about miso, it keeps pursuing new and better things always.
It ranks high in more than 1,200 miso companies, and it keeps growing each year.
I am in the environment where I can grow as an individual as well, since there are seminars offered to improve our skills, besides the initial training given at the beginning.
There is always excitement in the air within the company as well, and I find my seniors to be truly helpful at all times.
