First of all, I would express my sincere thanks to all of you visiting
our web site.
Let me tell you proudly, Hikari Miso, founded in 1926, has seriously
been engaged in manufacturing and marketing the traditional fermented
food ingredients which has been most widely accepted by the Japanese
at any time up until now. Miso, which is the natural outcome of the
micro- bacteria activity onto the soybean and rice, has the unique
aroma and taste. Besides that I would particularly like to emphasize
that Miso can provide us with the better form of getting the excellent
nutritional and functional aspects of the soy beans as a result of
the micro bacteria activity through the fermentation and aging process.
Holding Miso as our core business, we have substantially expanded
the instant Miso soup products to meet with those customers wishing
to have Miso soup more easily, assisted by the improvement of manufacturing
technology in the area of processed food industry. Further more beyond
Miso and the instant Miso soup products, we have recently expanded
our offering to the new areas of the original soup products and soy-based
products which are as healthy as Miso.@If I would try to summarize
Hikari Miso business for Miso, instant Miso soup, and the new range
of health-conscious products, then it could be described as "
the business which shall contribute to the customers for their better
satisfaction in terms of enjoyable eating life and of the better
health", and the business shall always be based on our firm
principle of "Customer First at Any Time" and "Thanks
to the Gift from the Nature".
Please do not imagine that our business is of very traditional thing
from the old days of Japanese tradition. "Keep changing ourselves"
is the word we hear within our organizations so often. I am more than
happy to proudly say to you that we have been successfully making
lots of innovations to meet with the updated requirements of customers.
Those innovations are not only in the area of research and development,
not only in the area of manufacturing engineering technique, but are
also in the area of the entire review process for "the business
model" like how are we communicating to the customers, how we
are involved in the society where we are positioned in, how we are
enhancing the customers' and our own satisfaction to achieve a "Good
Job!" , and how we are making any progress of ourselves any way.
I have the great excitement these days when I visit around the grove
to see the marketplace outside Japan and to see lots of customers
over there, where I can recognize the growing demand for Miso in conjunction
with the growing demand for the healthy Japanese diet. More and more
people are recognizing the traditional Japanese recipes as the enjoyable
one and the very healthy one. Imagine, please share with me, lots of
people coming to Sushi Bar to try various Sushi menu with a bowl of
Miso soup in happy atmosphere. People there seems to be satisfied
to find out the good aspects of Japanese food, which makes me so happy.
Imagine again please, people enjoying any meat dishes, enjoying any
fish dishes, enjoying any vegetarian dishes, and even enjoying any
contemporary soup recipes with various Miso flavor. Oh dear, time
has changed. Miso is quickly becoming very international! The origin
of Hikari Miso remains unchanged to be Japanese, however, now the
company is quickly changing to be really international.
To all customers, regardless of the nations or of countries, I am
