Our new miso and instant miso soups made with domestically grown ingredients truly represent our commitment to deliver products that are tasty and safe.
Ingredients that are grown domestically in Japan have the qualities suitable for miso making. Japanese soybeans are high in protein content, which is the reason for strong umami. Japanese rice is fragrant, fluffy when steamed, and produces soft koji. Both take important roles in miso making.
Since our classic Kanjikomi miso, which is prepared in the midst of every winter, and Kokusan 100% miso, which we introduced in 1998, we have continued to use domestically grown ingredients for our miso making. Relying on our long standing experience in sourcing and strong relationships with producers, we are delighted to be able to deliver our delicious Japanese miso, for a reasonable price of 650 yen per 750g cup (manufacturer’s price for reference, excl tax). It is perfect for people who care about the ingredients they use for everyday cooking.
For "Kodawattemasu Nihon no Aji - Kokusan Sozai no Omisoshiru", not only are the main ingredients of miso grown domestically in Japan, but also our soup fillings, such as Wakame Seaweed, Tofu, Fried Bean Curd, and Leeks, are sourced domestically.
Our original and effective routes in the sourcing of these ingredients insure our quality standards are met. Making the most of the umami and sweetness of Japanese ingredients, miso is matured for a long time to achieve depth in taste. We have selected a mixture of bonito, kelp, and dried sardine stock to complete the soup with truly satisfying umami.
